Class A truck drivers are individuals who have acquired a commercial driver's license (CDL) to operate trucks or commercial vehicles to transport materials and heavy equipment{target="_blank"}

  • Driving and operating a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
  • Picking up loads, verifying for accuracy, and delivering on time.
  • Accurately completing paperwork.
  • Loading and unloading various types of cargo safely.
  • Driving safely in various conditions, including heavy traffic and inclement weather.
  • Inspecting vehicle before departure; performing basic truck maintenance when necessary.
  • Recording cargo deliveries.
