Position Summary

As a Medical Affairs Advisor, your main responsibility will be to lead the development and implementation of the medical strategy to support our business portfolio and establish Nestlé Health Science as a leader in scientific knowledge and credibility among healthcare professionals (HCPs).

You will be responsible for various medical and scientific initiatives that enhance our market presence, ensure business competitiveness, and maintain trustworthiness.

A day in the life of a Medical Affairs Advisor

  • Develop and align the medical strategy with the market business strategy and global medical affairs strategy.

  • Anticipate future trends and consequences accurately, and create action plans accordingly.

  • Provide scientific support to internal stakeholders, including commercial, regulatory, public affairs, marketing, and sales teams, for innovation, renovation, and registration processes.

  • Collaborate closely with the brand team to develop informational, educational, and nutritional marketing materials, ensuring their scientific accuracy and compliance.

  • Stay in contact with the global affairs team in Switzerland to stay updated on the latest studies and translate them into actionable insights for the local team.

  • Design and implement medical education programs and scientific events for local healthcare professionals in collaboration with the field force.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and professional associations to enhance collaboration, implement new products, and develop effective strategies.

  • Build an effective speaker pool to promote scientific concepts and facilitate scientific activities.

  • Review and approve medical grants to key opinion leaders and medical associations.

  • Coordinate participation in important medical congresses and other relevant events in the market.

What will make you successful

  • University degree in Medicine/Nutrition, with experience in medical nutrition preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably in a similar role within the industry.

  • Trilingual in French, English, and Dutch.

  • Strong knowledge of medical study methodologies and the ability to read and summarize studies effectively.

  • Willingness to travel regularly for meetings with Dutch colleagues, international and local congresses, and after-hours webinars.
