A day in the life of a Key Account Manager

  • Build complete strategic Customer Plan in collaboration with the Sales Manager to drive the overall business

  • Negotiate yearly agreement & lead, develop and ensure implementation of plans for assigned Account (s) that are aligned with business objectives and customer strategies

  • Unlocking further growth opportunities within existing and new accounts & channels, in line with the overall business strategy

  • Facilitates excellence in execution in the daily business by planning, communicating, anticipating, measuring results consistently and implementing corrective action or learning.

  • Nurture productive business relationship beyond the buyer to include cross-functional leaders and reporting levels at least 1 up from the buyer/category manager

  • Management of your account(s) P&L, being accountable and responsible to achieve agreed upon Key Account targets and KPIs

  • Adheres to all Company principles and policies including Nestlé trade policy, local Sales policy, local Trade Terms, Safety and legal regulations

What will make you successful

  • You speak Dutch/French and English fluently, ideally with a professional knowledge of French/Dutch.

  • At least a bachelor in Sales, marketing or management. Ideally a master's degree in a relevant field for this role.

  • More than 3 years commercial experience with at least 2 years experience in sales (experience in negotiating). Previous experience in category management /field is an advantage.

  • You have a demonstrable record of success in delivering key commercial KPI's

  • You are good in communication, dynamic, agile, have an entrepreneurial and hands-on mindset and can work autonomously.

  • You are proactive and show creativity when it comes to developing your business: lead the given customers and projects but looks also for new opportunities or new customers (for instance E-commerce, LER...)
