Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Brookpark, Ohio

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic | $20-25/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machine control systems, as well as maintaining facility plumbing and performing carpentry work. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's production equipment and supporting our preventative maintenance system.

Responsibilities

  • Install and troubleshoot industrial machine control systems, including three wire and PLC controls.

  • Install, repair, and diagnose both AC and DC motors, single and three-phase power systems up to 480V.

  • Install, repair, and diagnose mechanical power transmission drives and related systems, as well as pneumatic equipment.

  • Perform general facility plumbing and carpentry work as required.

  • Support the preventative maintenance system and apply industrial lubricants.

  • Properly handle and use basic hand and power tools, and test equipment.

  • Support the plant’s production equipment setup and operations.

  • Execute breader, mills, scalper, and sifter setup, changeover, and disassembly requirements.

  • Handle the hookup and unloading of bulk rail materials, and the proper hookup of bulk material trucks.

  • Maintain and upkeep robotic, conveyor, and bagging systems.

  • Handle waste in compliance with EPA rules.

  • Conduct daily inspection of forklift equipment.

  • Adhere to company rules and procedures.

  • Operate a forklift and be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food environment, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You may need to work outside in the dock and rail yard. Expect to work with a lot of flour and grain on site.
