CERES ENVIRONMENTAL SVC Mulch Sales/Snow Manager in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

This position is a key role which varies based on seasonal changes in our business. In the winter months, this position is responsible for leading a snow removal crew across various locations in and around Minneapolis, and in the summer this position handles mulch sales and related duties primarily based out of a single location. Duties & Responsibilities: Gain in-depth knowledge of current product line and service offerings. Supervise crew of snow removal personnel as needed. Inside and outside sales of mulch/landscape products and snow plowing services. Responsible for field operations management including but not limited to snow removal services, providing quality customer service, timely responses to customer requests/inquiries, and generation of new contracts. Yard Attendant - Customer service on-site: Answer phones, emails, customer's questions, loading and unloading trucks and trailers. Handle pay transactions with cash, check or credit cards, enter sales orders, and schedule deliveries. Coordinate with Accounting and prepare invoices for customers. Yard Maintenance/operate water truck/skid steer. Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies. Work to identify more efficient ways to perform work. Other duties as needed. Essential Qualifications: Must have a HS diploma or GED Minimum 1 year recent experience working outdoors, preferably in a landscape center, plant nursery, farm or snow plowing service Must have a valid state issued driver's license with a clean MVR, and reliable transportation to get to and from work daily Basic knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook Must be able to work with daily exposure to dust and dirt, heat and cold climate Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to safely and properly lift and carry product Map reading skills Desired Qualifications: Ability to work with little supervision Able to drive company trucks Ability to work weekdays and extended hours during seasonal needs. Solid basic mathematics skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to multitask and work under pressure with clients on tight schedules Skid steer experienced Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.May vary from site to site and in some cases be greater or lesser than indicated here. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
