POSITION SUMMARY

Medgene seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. Full-time and part-time positions will be considered. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily operational needs in support of the RandD or Production staff. The ideal candidate will successfully integrate with a strong team and show the capacity to perform detail-oriented work.

JOB DUTIES

  • Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety.
  • Assist in designing equipment maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot any equipment problems.
  • Assist in maintaining all building systems and grounds.
  • Adhere to established company safety protocols and participate in company safety programs.
  • Maintain clear and accurate maintenance records.
  • Complete work on time as a self-starter, in accordance with all applicable SOPs, job plans, or MWIs
  • Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems.
  • Keep a clean work area, assist in cleaning equipment as needed, etc.
  • Assists, as required, outside contractors performing projects or supplementing the workforce.
  • In addition to the above, other assigned duties and projects are deemed appropriate within the position's scope.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Perform a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
  • Operate assigned equipment, facility, utility, and HVAC Systems in accordance with established guidelines and operating procedures.
  • Perform intermediate troubleshooting of utility, process, and HVAC-related equipment/systems.
  • Experience in light mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and equipment maintenance
  • Provide basic support for the start-up of new equipment to ensure it meets all mechanical design specifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basics of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Basic laboratory behavior, including a broad understanding of biosafety.
  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Review, read, and understand process system/equipment manuals, plumbing, ductwork plans, architectural drawings, HVAC plans, and process PandIDs
  • Five-plus (5+) year combination of education, training, and experience in one or more of the following fields: Utility Operations/Maintenance, Process Equipment Maintenance, Control Systems, HVAC Operations/Maintenance, and/or Fire Systems Maintenance
  • Understand the use of and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • PLC system troubleshooting
  • Completion of mechanical, electrical, or electrical technical school training
  • Experience with the repair of electronics or nstrumentation
