What You’ll Do
You keep Daktronics factories running smoothly and without incident. You do this by:
Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on automated equipment.
Making emergency repairs to electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Training peers to perform maintenance tasks.
Communicating effectively over the phone to repair equipment.
Performing other duties as assigned and as needed to meet customer expectations.
Because you bring a unique perspective to maintenance, you’ll impact operational excellence by:
Evaluating and improving preventative maintenance programs.
Operating automated equipment.
Inputting details into work orders on work performed and materials consumed.
Contributing to discussions regarding new equipment purchases, processes, and materials.
Maintaining records of maintenance procedures and parts.
You’ll have a consistent schedule each week:
Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.
There may be occasional overtime opportunities, paid at time and a half.

Qualifications
Completion of or current enrollment in a two-year Associate degree in Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, Diesel Mechanics, or a similar technical field.
Strong computer and communication skills.
Ability to follow work plans and prioritize work orders, escalating issues when needed.
Work effectively as a team member with little supervision.
Physical requirements:
Ability to distinguish and identify wire colors.
Be able to lift and carry heavy (up to 75 lbs.) and/or awkward items.
Able to work with your hands; stand and/or sit for the full shift.
Full range of motion (including but not limited to bending and lifting).
Work with your hands. Maintain steady hand-eye coordination.
Reach in all directions and in potentially awkward positions.
Ability to read fine print with or without corrective lenses.
Be able to work with various manufacturing odors.
Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include the following: safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, electrostatic discharge wear, and others as determined necessary by Daktronics Risk and Safety Department. Pulmonary function tests for use of respirator may be required.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Motor vehicle record will be checked.
