Accountant needed for our top manufacturing client, located in Brookfield, CT. Immediate opening ! Direct Hire position

Position Responsibilities for the Accountant will include:

  • Establishes and maintains cost accounting standards for Cost Roll, Inventory -Physical/Cycle count, overhead rates etc

  • Prepares and analyzes all financial reports to comply with internal and external reporting requirements

  • Maintains records for Fixed Assets (F/A software, balancing of F/S subledger to ERP system, tag all assets, depreciation calculations

  • Monthly end and Year-end close

  • Maintain accounting systems for the company, book of accounts and related materials, handle day-to-day financial matters

  • Supports all levels of the corporation in budget preparation by providing relevant information as needed

  • Review and process all Sales Tax Reports/payments

  • Review and prepare Duty Drawback details/submissions

  • And more

Accountant skills and experience needed :

  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Business - required

  • 3-5 years accounting experience - manufacturing preferred

  • Exp with ERP Systems

  • MS Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Excellent communications skills - verbal and written

  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
