Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Labor and Employee Relations (with a dotted line to the University Title IX Coordinator), this multifaceted position will be responsible for ensuring adherence to anti-discrimination regulations and promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all employees and students. Additionally, this position will be instrumental in managing employee relations matters and fostering a positive workplace environment.

Essential Functions:

Ensures compliance with University Title IX policies and procedures under the direction of the University’s Title IX Coordinator and in accordance with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations, and requirements for employees and students.

Maintains accurate and confidential records related to Title IX and related investigations and employee relations matters; prepares reports and summaries of investigative findings and trends; ensures compliance with record-keeping requirements and data privacy regulations.

Conducts thorough workplace investigations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in employment, such as interviewing complainants, respondents, and witnesses and drafting final investigative reports.

Advises management on Title IX and employee relations matters.

Provides the Fordham Community with sound recommendations regarding labor and employee relations disputes, performance counseling, employee disputes, employee discipline, and separations.

Ensures positive labor/management relationships and aids in interpreting the Collective Bargaining Agreements and Administrative Policies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Title IX and Gender Equity.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Human Resource Labor & Employee Relations position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or JD

Senior/Professional in Human Resources ( SPHR / PHR ) certification

Certified Professional ( SHRM - SCP /CP) certification

An Advanced Certificate in Employee Relations and Investigations

Higher education experience

Training Certificate for Title IX Annual Compliance

Minimum Salary: $100,000

Maximum Salary: $125,000
