About the Program and Position: The Enhanced Family Foster Care (EFFC) Program supports foster youth in the custody of the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) in New York City. Our EFFC program serves 137 youth ages 0-21+. It supports them with a multidisciplinary team that includes a Case Planner, NYC Comprehensive Health Services Team, Psychiatrist, Behavioral Support Specialist, Family Advocate, Case Aide, Family Team Conferencing Coordinator, Education Workforce Specialist, Employment/Internship and Housing Specialist, Fair Futures Coach, Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor and Clinician. Our therapeutic approach to foster care includes direct access to Clinicians and foster parents trained at a treatment foster care level implementing the ARC Framework. This makes a difference because our team approach provides a space for healing while providing skill-building and future-focused planning for youth in our care. Under the supervision of the ACS Manager of Operations, the EFFC Operations Associate Liaison will be responsible for tracking, monitoring, and coordinating progress on all court hearings for the EFFC Program. This staff member will foster consistent communication with the various departments for all active cases throughout the life of the case, supporting vitals, court hearings, family team conferences, and other tasks under the operations team.   • Oversee and obtain vital documents for youth in care in collaboration with Administration of Children’s Services (ACS)

  • Facilitate Goal Change and Placement Preservation Conferences within 5 days of the initial request and support with needed data and notes entry.

  • Facilitate Permanency Conferences, as needed.

  • Manage the case aide calendar to support with staff assignments

  • Partner with the Data Specialist to update the billing sheet, enter movements in connections, and submit special rate packet via CSEN

  • Monitor and track all agency's court appearances in the Legal Tracking System (LTS) on the EFFC court calendar for staff’s compliance including but not limited to Permanency and Termination of Parental Rights Hearings.

  • Receive and coordinate court appearances calendar invites for all communications from the agency’s legal attorney regarding Permanency and Termination of Parental Rights Hearings

  • Work collaboratively and communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues, families, and other service providers

  • Participate & present in staff meetings, seminars, and training to maintain and apply knowledge of internal and external procedures and policies applicable to foster care and program

  • Perform other related duties as requested by immediate supervisor or agency leadership

Schedule: Non-Exempt

  • Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

  • Must be flexible

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree preferred

  • Highly skilled in MS Office and Google Workspace

  • Experience with NYC Family Court Systems highly preferred

  • Knowledge of Connections preferred

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a flexible team context

  • Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner

  • Ability to work well with people from many cultures including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQIA+ children

  • Valid NYS Driver’s License preferred

  • Ability to travel to all agency locations

Physical Requirements:

  • Word processing: Including responding to e-mails, composing letters, completing computerized documentation, transcribing minutes for meetings, involves sitting at a computer for several hours a day

  • Completing paperwork -Such as copying and stapling

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Sit/ride in vehicles, busses, subways, trains - public transportation for lengthy periods of time

  • Walk up/down stairs

  • Walk to enter/exit subway and other public transportation

  • Walk several blocks to get to required location
