System One Senior Painter in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

System One has partnered with an oilfield equipment supplier in the Tulsa, OK area that is searching for Senior Painters. Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience. This position is a contract to hire role. Pay is BOE.

Position Summary

Senior level position that sandblasts, cleans and paints compressors and all other equipment as directed with limited supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operates cleaning equipment and prepares equipment for painting

  • Ability to mix all types of paint systems and applies these to customer and company specifications

  • Operates sandblast equipment to customer and company specifications

  • Masks and feathers old paint in preparation for new paint. Must have knowledge of required tools and maintenance care

  • Completes all paint compliance logs

  • Completes Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings, Psychrometer readings and Surface Temperature readings

  • Follows all relevant HSSE guidelines

  • Promotes and supports safety, production and positive attitude

  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department

  • Troubleshoots and provides solutions to manufacturing issues

  • Verifies paint thickness and blast anchor patterns

  • Requires employee to rarely type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as a copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.

  • Requires frequent operation of heavy equipment such as forklift and scissor lift

  • Participates in continuous improvement activities

  • Participates in group discussions and meetings

  • Maintains equipment and clean work area

    Preferred Education

  • High school diploma

    Required Experience & Skills

  • 5 years of related experience

  • Troubleshooting and providing technical recommendations

  • Ability to communicate in English

    Required Training & Certifications

  • C ertified to drive a forklift

    Physical Demands

  • Requires employee to stand for at least 90% of the time

  • Requires employee to sit for at least 10% of the time

  • Requires employee to constantly inspect and paint equipment, climb stairs or ladders. Must be able to maintain balance on stairs or ladders without assistance.

  • Must be able to communicate and respond to coworkers and emergency cues/alarms, in person and on the telephone, including use of mobile devices

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Requires work in outdoor conditions, including all weather conditions & unairconditioned facility

  • Requires work in loud environment

  • Requires moving and maintaining self constantly in different positions, stoop, kneel, crouch to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces

  • Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, helmets, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, fall protection as applicable.

  • Position rarely requires travel
