Element Materials Technology Failure Analyst in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Failure Analyst who will be primarily responsible for the failure analysis inspections, operations, reporting and consultation services.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision, conducting and reporting of failure analysis

  • Presentation of technical work in different platforms, both written and oral in a confident manner

  • Exhibit pragmatic and innovative with respect to both conduct of the investigation and providing solutions for the client

  • Review technical documents and to construct a suitable scope of work

  • Estimate the work effort required and to help in the commercial breakdown of the work

  • Supervise routine metallographic examinations and review / compose standard reporting comments

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience and recognized qualification in Metallurgy

  • Experience in conducting and reporting of root cause failure analysis

  • Experience in working with SEM / EDS (Scanning Electron Microscopy / Energy Dispersive analysis)

  • Experience working in an ISI 17025 laboratory environment

  • Proven supervisory skills

  • Strong communication / presentation skills

  • The ability to assess and respond to client requirements in an appropriate manner

  • Ability to operate and function within a team, drawing on other expertise where required

  • Flexibility and adaptability to different workloads and roles within the company
