Job Description

This is an exciting new team being formed to manage Thermo Fisher’s global trade risk and increase efficiencies. Join us in this entry level position as we transform our screening processes and ways of working.

The Position

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

  • Customer screening against global watch lists

  • Review of transactions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations

  • Identification of transactions requiring further due diligence and escalation

  • Providing input to leadership for process improvements

Specific responsibilities:

  • Strong application and data analysis skills.

  • Assist with internal audits and data gathering

  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance

  • Develops and continually improves business processes by assisting with process audits and Practical Process Improvement (PPI) projects

Requirements:

  • High School education preferably with technical base or administration, logistics or equivalent.

  • Proficient written and spoken English, previous work experience with international team

  • Proficient with MS Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word)

  • Good communication skills - understand issues and to be able to formulate and articulate the most appropriate solutions to resolve them

  • Have the ability to positively influence team / colleagues and customers in a professional manner

  • Detail oriented, quality and process driven, pro-active, good problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced matrix environment
