The Component Supply Planning team is a newly established team with a primary goal to support Zebra’s Tier 1 suppliers in component/ part shortage situations. The team works in close internal liaison with Global Supply, Direct Procurement, Supply Assurance & Communication teams. Externally team works closely with Zebra Tier 2 suppliers and is structured based on commodity type. The team plays important role in our PSM (Part Shortage Management) process and system designed to identify, escalate, and solve part shortages impacting our ability to meet our customer requirements. This individual will help to build up the team and will use tools and processes to work on shortages with external suppliers and come up with process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the PSM (Part Shortage Management) process and system

  • Actively participate in the weekly Supply Assurance call where we review all critical component supply shortages; providing update on shortage parts

  • Partner up and established functional relationship with selected Zebra Tier 2 suppliers and Direct Procurement team to operationally resolve component shortages based on Tier 1 suppliers’ data and expectations and support CM´s with another operational tasks

  • Work closely with Tier 2 suppliers on improving their supply situation for shortage parts and Early Warning parts + solving operational tasks

  • Communicate latest production plans/ supply commits provided by Tier 2 suppliers to Tier 1 suppliers and to Zebra Global Supply Planning Team. Upload commits into PSM

  • Follow existing open market purchasing strategy, process, and approved supplier list.

  • Reduce our PPV related to open market component purchases

  • Deliver operational goals for key metrics

  • Execute tasks efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Utilize analytical skills to solve problems and make informed decisions

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in supply chain/ a similar role is preferred but not required

  • International Supply Chain experience in service and/or manufacturing a plus

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail

  • Analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving
