Job Description

Software engineering is an integral part of our R&D department, working closely with colleagues outside the software domain, such as system design engineers, physicists, application specialists, and electronics engineers to deliver high-quality solutions. We develop applications on various layers of the software stack – from low-level controller communication, through implementing instrument behavior and providing quality API, to user-facing applications for control and automation.

We are looking for a Rust/C++ developer willing to work on critical software modules in the world's most powerful electron microscopes. Become a member of our team and help us build innovative products serving science and industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of product modules in Rust/C++ languages.

  • Testing your code both in an automated fashion, with simulators, and on the microscope.

  • Working on complex technical problems and providing sophisticated solutions.

  • Collaborating with a team of skilled engineers in Brno, Netherlands, and USA.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of C++ language and the latest features, e.g. concepts.

  • Experience with Rust language and functional programming or interest to learn it.

  • Good understanding of software development processes and agile methodology.

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or adequate education/experience.

  • Active knowledge of English to read requirements, write documentation, and to connect with abroad teams.

  • Eligible for passport and ability to travel.

We would be excited if you have:

  • Experience with C#, Python, or functional programming languages.

  • Used Docker or different containerization utilities.

  • Worked on microservice architecture with gRPC communication protocol.

  • Passion to learn new things and experimenting with innovative technologies.
