Intern - Software Test

The Intern Software Test is responsible for the content of internal application Final Test, the related processes and works closely with the Operations Engineering team and manufacturing. The Intern understands the importance of application and product quality and succeeds through dedication, passion, collaboration, technical expertise, and working with a network of authorities within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working in compliance with legislation and IMS

  • Creating and maintaining the content of Final Test based on acquired knowledge and the requirements of Operations Engineering, the factory, and other departments.

  • Provide technical support to the factory, to ensure that Thermo Fisher Scientific is capable of shipping quality products on time to its customers

  • Improving processes across departments (production, development, and service)

Requirements:

  • Actively studying at the university

  • Knowledge of HTML, basic knowledge of JavaScript and CSS

  • Willingness to work in high-tech industry manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining cooperation of cross-functional, multi-cultural groups and sites without damaging relationships

  • Must be able to work for extended period in clean room environment

  • Fluent communication in English (both written and spoken)

  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

General deliverables:

  • Support local and global Operations teams in their strategy

  • Ensure close collaboration with the other sites for efficient cross-site partnership

  • Develops and cultivates close relationships within Operations Engineering and with Manufacturing, GTS, PLM, and NPD to adequately staff projects and resolve conflicts

  • Ensure activities are carried out according to the principle of “Customer focus in all that we do”

  • Adhere to work safety, fire safety, hygiene of work, and other regulatory standards. Clean and maintain work area and consigned tools.
