Job Description

At Brno's Thermo Fisher Scientific, we develop and manufacture electron microscopes and spectrometers. They participate in the research of the ZIKA virus, HIV, they allow the shrinking of mobile phones. Our work contributes to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. We are the largest production of electron microscopes in the world, and we continue a more than 70-year-old tradition. You will find experts in physics, electronics, software, mechanical design, and logistics.

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

  • Creation of new technical product documentation (TPD) and updating existing documentation based on processed engineering changes

  • Works with EDM, Logistics, Sourcing, NPI Engineering, GTS, PLM, Quality and R&D to ensure proper resource allocation to implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO)

  • Coordinates prioritization and execution of tasks within ECO and ECR processing

  • Documentation checking and closure (archiving)

Requirements:

  • University student either bachelor or master level program

  • Technical field of study with focus on mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred

  • Basic orientation in engineering documentation including drawing, purchasing specification and related principles (norms, standards, best practices)

  • CAD/e-CAD knowledge!

  • Passion for technics and technology with an ambition to get a work experience in HI-TECH company

  • Common Microsoft Office and Acrobat applications

  • English and local language (verbal and in writing)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills to cooperate with peers and other engineering departments are desired
