Job Description

The Clinical Demand Specialist, Biomarkers, will lead and drive clinical demand activities mainly for procalcitonin (PCT) to support demand for tests on our licensed partner devices in clinical laboratories. Additionally, our new colleague will support our distributors in the prenatal screening biomarker business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Join us for an exciting journey and play an important part in the Specialty Diagnostics Group (SDG) team and participate in developing the PCT business and Kryptor business.

What will you do in this role?

  • Your project and task will be developing a regional strategy for business growth in the biomarkers area and encouraging close business relationships with PCT licensing partners and BMK distributors. In collaboration with them, developing a targeted customer acquisition plan for PCT, PNS, and other biomarkers, namely new cardiac and tumor markers, based on the analysis of hospital financing structure and healthcare in each country.

  • Also included are the management of congress activities, workshops, and road shows, and working and identifying speakers and KOLs.

  • Regular contact with key customers (physicians responsible for hospital departments, key customers in various medical societies, and hospital management).

  • This position will spend 50-60% of the time traveling and will work in conjunction and agreement with the sales and marketing management team to develop marketing activity plans and AOP goals to meet growth expectations.

  • Support business growth through direct relationships with licensing partners, thereby growing revenue and market share.

  • Research and provide regular feedback on local market trends, competitive activities, legislation, regulatory changes, etc.

Who are we looking for?

  • Degree in biochemistry or biomedical sciences

  • Background and work experience in clinical or commercial medical laboratories

  • Experience in international sales/marketing/distribution in the field of diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to demonstrate credibility in mentoring and building positive working relationships with customers, distributors, and colleagues.

  • Self-motivated with a passion for action

  • Effective interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills.

  • Strong eye for business and consistent track record in developing and maintaining professional and personal relationships with KOLs, customers, and business partners, positively impacting business growth.

  • Proficiency in English and Czech or Slovak is important.
