Job Description

Job Title: Automation Software Test Engineer

Participate in innovative technology research! We are looking for a hands-on automation tester, to implement automated tests for the Proteomics/Metabolomics software applications. Successful candidates will have excellent social skills, as you’ll work closely with technology teams and manual testers. The ability to multi-task and rearrange priorities is important. We're seeking a hardworking individual to drive automated testing efforts for our Proteomics software application and an automated process for proteomic analysis through raw data acquisition, raw data submission to a data server, and then performing data analysis on the data processing computer.

What do we look for:

  • The ideal candidate will have a background in software testing \ development and good experience in:

  • Automation Tools : Functional and GUI tests using open-source or commercial testing tools such as Test Complete (preferred) or Selenium

  • Version Control Systems : Familiarity with version control systems like Git for code management, Azure-DevOps, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, or GitLab CI for automating build and deployment processes

  • Testing Techniques : Understanding of various testing types, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and performance testing

  • Programming Languages : Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as JavaScript, Java, Python, or C#

  • Build and execute test scripts for functional and workflow automation and analyze automation test results

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and software test processes using Agile Methodology

  • Experience with the development, implementation, and maintain test automation framework and tools including API testing tools e.g., ReadyAPI, Postman, etc.

  • Knowledge of web technologies and protocols (e.g. HTTP, REST).

  • Ability to work with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other team members.

  • Excellent communication: written, and presentation skills.

  • A leader with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, motivated, Self-Starter, and Organized

We will be excited if you also have the following:

  • Good experience and proficiency in one of the Scripting Languages (Python, and JavaScript, are required, PowerShell is a plus) to develop scripts for functional, integration/acceptance, and UI testing including Functional Testing, Regression tests, Data Driven Testing, User Acceptance Testing, etc.

  • Proficient at JUnit, Postman, or similar tools depending on the technology stack

  • Proven experience in automation testing of web and Client-Server application

  • Experience in Requirement analysis, Test Design, Test Execution, and Defect tracking

  • Identifying and gathering test data as needed

  • Love to work multi-functionally and across geographic boundaries

Desired secondary skills:

  • Familiarity with performance Testing tools such as Apache JMeter, etc.

  • Security testing

  • Knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Proteomics, and Mass Spectrometry

Education:

BS/MS in Computer science or a similar field

Experience:

  • Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in the automated framework using TestComplete and proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or a similar language

We offer starting salary from 1.680,00 EUR gross/month - the final offer depends on proven experience.
