Parks and Facilities Worker
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Required to operate medium equipment and machinery while performing and/or assisting in a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and repair work, e.g., facility construction and repairs, grounds maintenance and repairs
- Perform all work according to established safety standards, codes and regulations applicable to the work.
- Perform at journey level in two or more trades as it relates to the assigned department, and can perform tasks independently, though work remains subject to review and inspection during and upon completion of assignment
- May perform related work as necessary
- Ability to work mandatory overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Related work experience and the ability to perform labor intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling and pushing of up to 50 lbs; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Commercial Driver's License preferred.
