The Role

The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for leading and managing fitters on the day shift. They will also be responsible for planning preventative maintenance activities ensuring the back end of the plant runs smoothly.

*Please note you will be working on the day shift, which is 6am - 2:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance according to site requirements & trouble shoot machines and equipment

  • Maintain the site's electronic maintenance management system to ensure that all maintenance activities are appropriately planned and documented

  • Liaise with external labour and services suppliers and supervise contractors as required

  • Provide the day shift team employees with the training and skills required to ensure they can fulfil their roles

  • Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure that all purchasing activities are conducted accurately and where problems arise.

About You

  • Mechanical or Electrical Trade certificate or Engineering Degree

  • Experience within a high speed manufacturing environment

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

  • Prior leadership experience, ability to lead employees and contractors
