Job Description Summary

In the Commodity of Source Control Components the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure deliveries consistently meeting all customers’ quality and regulatory requirements and lead preventive enhancement initiatives to supplier manufacturing processes.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Actively participate to sourcing and industrialization processes to achieve the target of zero Customer Defects

  • Lead with sourcing and product engineering preventive assessment of design to manufacturing

  • Ensure that quality is consistently flexible and able to react to changing demands

  • Provide engineering support to supplier manufacturing process ensuring consistent application of quality techniques to resolve quality issues of capability, tolerancing and materials by leading the implementation of action plans and providing resources

  • Lead supplier eligibility assessment, readiness review and surveillance audits

  • Lead APQP ensuring that PPAP are approved on-site when it is required

  • Handle daily shop issues related to supplied parts by identification & containment of non-compliances

  • Lead with all the related stakeholders all problem-solving events to contain internal scraps and supplier escapes, find root cause and corrective action, make the risk assessment and standardize through the Lesson Learnt/FMEA

  • Lead risk assessment (e.g. PFMEA, PQA, etc) to ensure the compliance to product/process/system quality requirements

  • Determine improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to sustain manufacturing processes to adhere to standard requirements and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity related to product, process or system

Qualification/Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or High School Diploma with strong and significant experience in Supplier Quality Engineer role

  • Previous and strong experience in quality engineering roles, preferably Supplier Quality role

  • Previous and strong experience in driving quality assurance and control in Industrial assembly shops floors, preferably aerospace/automotive sector with focus on engine components, electric motors, gearboxes

  • Strong Knowledge of GD&T and MSA

  • Proven experience with main quality tools (i.e. DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, PDCA, Ishikawa diagram/3x5L Why, SIPOC/Process Flow Chart, Production Control Plan/FMEA, APQP/PPAP, SPC/Run Charts)

  • Problem solving and decision making skills

  • Fluent Italian and English, both written and spoken

  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time

  • Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
