Express Employment Professionals Crane Service Technician in Brighton, Michigan

Express Employment is seeking a Crane Technician to join a growing team providing in house design, fabrication, and servicing custom, industry-leading cranes for a contract to hire position.

Pay based on experience, up to $40/hr. Willing to train entry level candidates with strong electrical backgrounds.

Responsibilities

? Assemble, install, wire and commission industrial overhead cranes at customer sites across the U.S.

? Perform preventative and on demand maintenance on overhead cranes.

? Inspect mechanical and electrical systems on overhead cranes.

? Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair crane equipment, mechanical systems, as well as AC and DC electrical systems in house and onsite in the field.

Education/Experience

? Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems, crane experience preferred but not required with proven experience.

? Ability to read blueprints and use metrological instruments such as micrometers.

? Basic organization, communication and problem-solving skills.

? Skills in one or more of the following areas are preferred: Millwright work, iron work, pipefitting, electrical meters, basic machining, basic welding and rigging.

Requirements

? Successfully pass background check and drug screen.

? Ability to travel up to 50%, as needed.

? Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

? Ability to work in confined spaces, and climb to heights which may exceed 150 ft.

? Willingness to work overtime, nights and weekends as required by workload.

? Willingness to observe and comply with all safety and project rules.

? Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
