Job Information

Aerotek MIG Welder in Bridgman, Michigan

Description:

Perform welding duties using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW on steel components. You will be welding and fabricating semi-truck trailer chassis from raw material to finished product.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform flat-butt and vertical-up welds

  • Perform various complex welds

  • Weld off from specified blueprints, work orders, diagrams, layouts, and instructions

  • Operate related machines such as forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, etc.

  • Operate hand and power tools

Qualifications:

  • 6 Months of MIG welding experience

  • Recent welding program graduate

  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting

  • Ability to perform complex welds and read blueprints

Work Environment/Shift:

  • 1st shift

  • 6:00am - 2:30pm

  • Must be willing to work in a large facility that can get quite hot in the summer and cold in the winter

  • Some parts of the facility are a little dim

  • Steel-toed boots required
