Leidos Windows Engineer Senior in Bridgewater, Virginia

Description

1901 Group has an opening for a Sr. Windows System Engineer on a DoD program that will combine several large, enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs) into one common, modernized platform. The program is in the prototype phase where we are responsible for delivering the prototype environment and working closely with cybersecurity to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO) for production.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implementation, and administration of Windows 2012, 2016, 2019, MS-Azure, Microsoft Exchange, M365, and Active Directory.

  • Implement, install, and recommend technologies including database, systems management, server virtualization, network storage and security.

  • Maintain strong understanding of Client/Server Architecture and how to securely deploy internally and externally.

  • Evaluate and architect network, server, and storage architecture plans.

  • Produce technical writing for both system integration and transition to operations teams.

  • Work in hybrid multi-location operations team administering existing production environment.

  • Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file/print.

  • Build and deploy Group Policy Objects to enforce desired enterprise behavior.

  • Perform patch and security configuration activities to ensure servers and databases under management are properly secured and up to date.

  • Monitor health, performance, and operational trends to proactively identify issues before they become incidents.

  • Communicate well with Executives, Managers, Peers, and Customers.

  • Support tickets and manage incidents, service requests, and problems through their full life cycle.

  • Perform incident analysis to determine possible cause and potential fix.

  • Document status updates and communicate to necessary parties.

  • Document troubleshooting steps and knowledge articles for Shared Desk and Help Desk teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Experienced in design, implementation, and administration in Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft Exchange, andM365.

  • Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow

  • Competent in essential administration concepts around Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019.

  • Experienced in Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, or M365.

  • In-depth knowledge of scripting with PowerShell.

  • Ability to independently drive tasks to conclusion with minimal supervision and oversight.

  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

  • Must have an Interim DoD Secret Clearance or higher clearance

  • Meet baseline 8570 certification (IAT Level II) CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.

  • Must live within a commutable distance to Bridgewater, VA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified in Microsoft technologies.

  • Azure and/or AWS certifications

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
