Sanofi Group Scrum Master, iCare Insights in Bridgewater, New Jersey

Job Description Summary:

iCare is a Digital Product Line aimed at transforming Patient Support Services through the implementation of a common digital ecosystem across therapeutic areas. iCare Insights is the reporting and analytics arm of iCare. Its mission is to provide timely, reliable data-driven insights on Patient Support Services (PSS) programs, processes and resources to support Patient onboarding and use of therapy. The ultimate objectives of iCare Insight are to a) maximize the outcome potential for patients and b) provide the insights and “triggers” to inform the care teams of the possible best course(s) of action to maximize that potential.

  • The Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach for one or several POD(s) (Agile Product Team)

  • (S)He/They helps educate the POD in Scrum and, where relevant, Agile at-scale practices, ensuring that the agreed Agile processes are being followed

  • (S)He/They also helps remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement

Key individual accountabilities:

  • Facilitates POD ceremonies, throughout each sprint (daily standup, sprint planning, sprint demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinements)

  • Coaches POD team and business through Epics, Sprint Goals, Sprints execution and Story development/refinement to meet the delivery team’s Definition of Ready/Done

  • Promotes and secures the right usage of Sanofi’s standards, guiding principles, golden rules, and practices of agile scrum ways of working and development best practices (i.e., DevOps, Automation, etc.)

  • Establishes and refines processes that work for the team (more than one way to do it right, so find the right way to make a high performing team productive)

  • Supports and coaches the agile teams to work in an autonomous way and with a continuous improvement spirit, to identify and formalize obstacles and fix them in a sustainable way

  • Helps consistently steer POD team to maximize efficiency and productivity

  • Ensures the creation of agile Digital project deliverables (PUMA) documentation and partners well with Quality, Security and ITSM for the POD to stay fully compliant

  • Guide POD Product Owner to ensure that both non-functional needs (i.e., scalability, operability, reliability, etc.) as well as the functional needs / Cx (Customer Experience) are effectively met (work such as Usability Testing and User Research occurs with the goal of improving the user and patient experience)

  • Coach the Product Owner in his/her/their efforts to manage the backlog (i.e., dashboards, best practices, etc.) and guide the POD team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities, scope and cadence

  • Communicates with management both in the business and digital teams and outside stakeholders; helps protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work

  • Ensures thorough Testing occurs, is properly documented and provides support with oversight and drives accountability as appropriate

  • Maintains thorough documentation for the POD in Teams, Jira and Confluence (decisions, meeting minutes, final documentation, etc.)

  • Partners with external vendors as needed, including facilitating requirements gathering, align on timelines and cost. This also includes facilitation of the acquiring licenses and creation / updating of vendor contracts

  • Facilitates conversations and sessions with the larger group and/or brings topic to the other key groups such as the Compliance Committee

  • Acts as a servant-lead to initiate POD discovery, drive prioritization, clarify requirements, document dependencies, and ensure inter-team cooperation and delivery of results

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Life Sciences or Business Preferred

  • Master's Degree optional

  • Scrum Master certification required

  • Minimum 5 year of Scrum Master / Project Management experience preferred

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
