Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness has an exciting opportunity for a Grain Crew Leader at our facility located in Bridgeville, DE, supporting grain operations.

Day shift hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for non-harvest; 7:00 am to 7:00 pm during harvest

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the facility manager in managing the operations

  • Ensure working conditions for all associates are in compliance with the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies

  • Assist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams that receive, dry, store, and distribute grain

  • Train and develop team members to perform required operational tasks

  • Operate grain probe (hand/automated) and grade grain for all factors

  • Operate grain receiving equipment

  • Operate grain drying and related equipment

  • Operate grain transfer and load out equipment

  • Operate lift truck equipment and perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment

  • Perform house keeping of all elevator areas

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on operational equipment with the grain facility to ensure maximum availability and longevity

  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of lead or management based experience

  • Basic Microsoft Excel experience

Minimum Education

  • High School or equivalent

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available)

  • Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus

  • Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations
