Who are we? 

 

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics (B2B) is a premier education services provider of over 125 services offered including 1-on-1 tutoring, translating and interpreting, speech and occupational therapists, reading specialists, psycho-educational testing, 1-on-1 test prep for the SAT & ACT, and more. In addition, we operate Delaware’s only 1-on-1 Private School (7th-12th grade), Augustine Hills School, located in Wilmington, Delaware.

 

What we are looking for: 

Passionate teacher who are available to teach IN PERSON in the Upper Darby, PA area for a summer school program with rising kindergarteners to 2nd graders for Literacy, Math, and STEAM material.

 

Scope of work  

  • Teaching groups of 10 students in the same grade level for rising kindergarteners to 2nd grade for Reading and Math as well as STEAM.

  • Teaching is for a summer program from July 8 through August 2 - 4 hours a day - 5 days a week

  • Workbook and curriculum information provided but putting material together in a collaborative effort with other teachers in the program will be needed.  Planning paid for each week.  Professional development and training week before starting to be paid.  Progress monitoring will be needed - tools to conduct this will be provided.

  • Providing feedback on the students and collectively gathering material.

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly. 

  • Self-motivated 

  • Desire to help others. 

      

    What do we require? 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher 

  • Teaching Certificate or 3+ years of teaching in a classroom (student teaching and practicum excluded from timing noted)

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Ability to work with students to help them understand the subject material. 

  • Dependable

  • Strong Classroom Management Skills

  • Developing Engaging and Creative Weekly Lessons

  • Prefer candidate be no more than 35 minutes from the school site
