Our facility located in Bridgeport, NJ (less than a 30 min. commute from Drexel) is a complete engineering, design, manufacturing, and repair facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Sales Engineers, CAD Designers and Application Engineers to support our Life Cycle Advantage and other Key Accounts’ rotating equipment reliability and overall Flowserve-Customer interactions.

  • A Flowserve Co-op student will start in the same training program used for new hires, which lasts about (3) weeks.

  • The training will be a combination of classroom, hands-on, and field work in local refineries and chemical plants.

  • This program will give the student the knowledge and confidence to become an important contributor to our engineering team.

  • The Co-op Student will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks.

  • These include the following: design mechanical seal adaptive hardware, write proposals and quotations, troubleshoot mechanical seal and rotating equipment problems, disassemble and assess issues with failed equipment, data entry, provide technical support for sales engineers, distributors, and customers, measure equipment for retrofits, and be responsible for a variety of projects.

  • The position will involve using aspects of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, machine design, tribology, equipment reliability, as well as drafting.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited university.

  • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities in a self-directed environment.

  • Strong work ethic with positive attitude.

The pay range for this role is $14.83 - $22.25 per hour.
