Position: Meal Prep / Cook Location: On-site at Divine Child Care Center, Bridgeport, MI Employment Type: Part-time Hours: Monday - Friday, between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Exact shift hours to be discussed)

We are seeking a part-time Meal Prep / Cook who is passionate about preparing balanced and age-appropriate meals for young children while adhering to dietary guidelines and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 3-5, accommodating dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences.
- Ensure meals meet proper nutritional guidelines and are age-appropriate in portion sizes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory and order ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
- Serve meals on schedule and maintain efficiency in meal preparation.
- Communicate with staff and parents to address any individual dietary needs or concerns.
- Ensure proper food storage and labeling, especially concerning allergens.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably in a childcare or similar setting.
- Knowledge of child nutrition, portion control, and healthy meal planning.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices (food handler certification is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, parents, and children.
- Experience handling dietary restrictions, including allergies and intolerances.
