Our client, a leading global consumer-centric medical device company is looking for an International Logistics Coordinator to join their team.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am - 5:30pm

Pay: $25-$28/hr

Job Type: Contract (6-10 months)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the most economical means of shipping product to customer, using alternate avenues as applicable.

  • Accurately prepare all necessary documentation for international shipments such as commercial invoices, shipper’s letter of instruction, endorsement form, airway bills and bill of lading.

  • Liaise directly with customer and the international customer team providing export documents, shipping, and delivery status.

  • Contacts forwarding company, as needed, for air freight shipments to obtain rate quotes. Incorporate rates on invoice.

  • Contacts carriers via phone as needed to obtain quotes and schedule pickups.

  • Enters shipments into computer system so invoice is generated, including freight charges.

  • Performs additional duties and assignments as directed by management.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 2 – 3 years export, documentation, and ocean/air transportation experience.

  • Ability to understand and interpret Harmonized Tariff Codes, extensive knowledge of import and export rules and regulations as published by the US CBP.

  • Familiarity with international transportation marketplace and freight systems.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills.

  • General knowledge of warehouse procedures and environment.
