Cabela's Dining Room Assistant, Part Time in Bridgeport, Connecticut

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dining Room Assistant assists operations in expediting service to the guest, to serve food from the kitchen in a timely manner, clean and reset tables and stock stations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Cleans and sets tables in a proper manner.

  • Replenishes all non-alcoholic beverages when needed.

  • Maintains ice supply in server stations and bar.

  • Stocks side stations with clean and polished wrapped silverware, napkins, straws, etc.

  • Ensures furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to specifications.

  • Removes plates and silverware from tables throughout the meal; transporting to the dish area.

  • Assists coworkers and guests during the meal period.

  • Assists in overall cleanliness of the restaurant including front of house and back of house.

  • Runs food from the kitchen.

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma

  • Experience: 0-2 Years

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and walk for extended period

  • Effective Communication

  • Time Management

  • Team Player

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular walking, standing, lifting (up to 50lbs), climbing, bending etc.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :

  • Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
