Honeybear Growers Quality Control Inspection Technician in Brewster, Washington

Honeybear Growers is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector in Brewster, WA. In this role you will be responsible for all incoming shipments of products as well as inventory scheduled for outbound shipments. Inspector will rate products according to Company and USDA specifications.

Day to day responsibilities:

Maintains necessary inspections and rejection records

Accepts or rejects product based on condition, short weight, transit damage, grade, temperature, and other reasons

May reject product without further consultation if a product doesn't meet Company's requirements/standards

Informs Sale's team of product quality as necessary

Determines the cause of warehouse shrink due to spoilage

Makes recommendations to management regarding reduction in shrink

Maintains logs and records of spoilage, including information on overbuying, lack of retail performance, weak produce, etc.

Ensures that appropriate personnel are trained in the proper handling, storage, rotation, and selection of produce to be shipped to the retail units

Ensures that shipping crews are provided with daily information on lots to be shipped

Who should apply?

Must have experience with quality control in produce

Must possess the ability to communicate with others to achieve desired results

Strong attention to detail

Computer skills in spreadsheet software and data entry preferred

Possess good communication skills, including verbal and written

Physical/Work Environment

Some work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment

Some work is performed in a temperature varied warehouse area

Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties

Lifting boxes up to 5o lbs occasionally.
