Job Description

The Events and Activities Coordinator is responsible for assisting in organizing, planning and overseeing the execution of events and activities, resort-wide. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: family activities, year round family activities, theme weekends, seasonal festival and celebrations, resort sponsored promotions, apres ski parties, downhill races and winter programs at the ski area, culinary events and holiday activities. This position will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, as well as all other hotel departments to promote and implement all events and activities. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in coordinating all special activities and works closely with the Events and Activities Director and Supervisor on all programming.

  • Oversees the outdoor pool and lawn games as needed.

  • Assists in the creation and implementation of summer and winter activities, theme and holiday weekends.

  • Assists with the development of innovative programs/activities, coordinates and implements activities for special events, social programs and corporate groups.

  • Assists in coordinating lectures, artists, entertainment, performers and other necessary contractual services for activities and special events.

  • Assists with making banquet event orders, spec sheets, agendas, check requests, special lodging requests and all other necessary paperwork for activities.

  • Maintains a file for each special activity, lecture, artist, entertainer, etc.

  • Evaluates and summarizes each special activities and follows up with the appropriate executives in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Works in all areas of the activities department as necessary.

  • Attends all activities and events meetings.

  • Contribues to the team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
