We are hiring for the position ofSr Manager, General Accounting located in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Job Summary

This position will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Director of Accounting by overseeing accounting operations across out refining segment. Building and nurturing relationships across our four refineries and corporate office to ensure alignment with reporting requirements and deliver ongoing support and value. Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules. Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget. Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)

• Master's Degreee (Preferred)

• Eight (8) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)

• CPA Preferred

• Supervise and manage accounting staff.

• Provide visionary leadership across our four refineries, overseeing all aspects of refining operations accounting.

• Foster robust relationships with key refinery leaders through proactive site visits and frequent engagment matters related to accounting and finance. (Krotz Springs, LA/Tyler, TX/El Dorado, AR/Big Spring, TX)

• Ensure that all accounting transactions are properly accounted for within the General Ledger and that all financial accounts properly represent the reported balances

• Ensure that accounting staff are following all guidelines within SOX 404 compliance and that any changes are correctly reported to the Internal Audit department. Provide internal audit assistance when accounting process changes are necessary.

• Work with the IT department to ensure that accounting systems are properly recording all financial data

• Ensure timely and accurate monthend accounting close
