Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of Storage Infrastructure services and automation to support enterprise operations for mission-critical infrastructure. This role includes responsibility in the design, development, and support of storage platforms to enable greater agility with fulfillment to accomplish company growth initiatives. Additional key responsibilities include mentor other team members in a DevOps operating model. Technologies in scope include NetApp NAS and SAN platforms, storage management technologies, data protection solutions, infrastructure automation tools, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and shared-service applications. Knowledge of public and private cloud technology platforms, PaaS, IaaS, containers, Kubernetes, scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python and other Infrastructure automation languages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Provide technical leadership in the execution of the TSC’s Systems Infrastructure strategy to enable greater agility with fulfillment of Infrastructure services including working with other teams to enable end to end CI/CD pipelines.

  • Design, support and maintain a delivery platform that provides the stability, scalability and availability demands of the business through infrastructure lifecycle standardization strategies.

  • Identify and implement ongoing opportunities for system and process improvements.

  • Maintain development standards complying with enterprise standards, ensuring solutions are optimally designed, secure, well performing and integrated with other solutions.

  • Deliver the objectives associated with problem management, such as customer communication and root cause analysis reports.

  • Foster key vendor relationships and contract performance.

  • Document internal SOPs, processes, and training to ensure team members are successful in DevOps environment.

  • Lead the team with internal infrastructure projects which may require cross departmental coordination to achieve goals

Required Qualifications

Experience: 6+ years related work experience of increasingly technical Information Technology experience. 3+ years related work experience in DevOps utilizing SDLC agile methodology with various programming languages (Microsoft PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python, SQL, Java, etc.)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications : Preferred Microsoft and Red Hat DevOps Certifications

High Demand IT Specialized skills : DevOps in Public and Private Cloud Environments

Platform knowledge (UNIX, Linux, Windows):

  • NetApp Storage Platforms (SAN and NAS)

  • NetApp Software Management Technologies (Cloud Insights, Active IQ)

  • Scripting Languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, PowerCLI, JSON, KSH, YAML)

  • Orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible)

  • Infrastructure Configuration/Automation development (Ansible Tower, Salt Stack, Puppet)

  • Cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Bluemix)

  • Container and Platform services (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, CI/CD Pipeline)

  • Repository tools (GitHub, BitBucket)

  • Microsoft and Linux based Operating Systems

  • Virtualization services (VMware, Nutanix AHV, Azure Stack)

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Ability to use a variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.

  • Development and execution of DevOps engineering practices.

  • Strong knowledge of networking, server and storage technologies and environments.

  • Ability to comprehend business requirements to ensure technical directions are supportive.

  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.

  • Analytical and Problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering from lean principles to agile processes.

  • Knowledge of open telemetry observability frameworks, pipelines and publish/subscribe models.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL core principles for incident, request, change, and problem management.
