Hoar Construction Field Engineer in Brentwood, Tennessee

The Field Engineer is responsible to help facilitate project delivery and administrative requirements related to planning, management and communication through effective day-to-day administration and coordination of projects. Works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project team members, including clients, in support of the success of a project. In this role you may be required to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with compilation of project close-out/operation and maintenance manuals for delivery to owner.

  • Assist Project Managers with coordinating document control and updating Procore in conjunction with processing Requests for Information, Submittals, Drawing Logs, and other management tools.

  • Assist with process improvement by sharing best practices and training staff.

  • Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate future sales opportunities.

  • Create and maintain the Contract Document Log and update with current information.

  • Initiate, organize, and attend project meetings with appropriate members of the project team and ensure that meeting agendas and meeting minutes are produced and distributed to attendees and other necessary parties.

  • Ensure the proper bid documents are sent to bidders and plan rooms for various bid packages as they come online. Build and maintain the bidders list.

  • Maintain current construction documents.

  • Maintain the CBI report and insure all insurance is up to date.

  • Receive and act accordingly on RFI's from contractors; maintain RFI log.

  • Review submittals and maintain submittal log.

  • Support the management of the day-to-day project including but not limited to; responding to pay requests, change orders, RFI's, submittals, contracts and purchase orders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred

  • 0-2 years of construction experience or a construction graduate

  • Basic MEP knowledge

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Valid Driver's License Required

  • LEED AP and OSHA 10 Hour a plus
