Architect, IT Solution (Marketing Systems)

Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving cross-domain technology plans to align with enterprise goals, business plans and business processes. The Architect will review technical specification documents created by development teams and evaluate emerging technology for use across multiple domains, as well as create Architect Review Board documents. Additional responsibilities include cross-domain technical oversight and mentoring functional architects.

This role will be heavily involved with Marketing-specific technologies (Zeta, Adobe, etc.) and best practices, as well as customer data governance and privacy

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Responsible for combining roadmaps from multiple functional groups to align with goals, business plans and business processes.

  • Coordinate functional architects to develop project plans encompassing all technical tasks that meet enterprise and business schedule.

  • Responsible for development of technical designs to support delivery of solutions and oversight of multiple projects in project portfolio.

  • Maintain standards on cross-functional initiatives to align with enterprise standards.

  • Evaluate the impacts of new technology on multiple connected systems.

  • Document the implementation of business processes across technical systems.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 12+ years of Information Technology experience. 2+ years of experience in architecture for larger organizations.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Retail industry experience preferred.

  • Superior knowledge of multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments.

  • Advanced level knowledge of the following technology architecture domains: application, collaboration, data integration, networks, platform, security and systems management, site reliability engineering.

  • Advanced collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and to work with a distributed team.

  • Advanced knowledge of SOA and object-oriented analysis and design.

  • Advanced ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.

  • Advanced ability to comprehend business strategies to ensure technical directions are supportive and consistent within the company.

  • Strong ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives.

  • Strong knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes.

  • Strong ability to conduct analysis sessions and may contribute to "Closure Documents."
