Planner Requisition ID 2024-12575 Location US-WA-Bremerton Seat Location EB Puget Sound (Bremerton), WA Trade Planning Shift 1st, 2nd, 3rd Security Clearance Required Secret Number of Openings 1 Overview This position is for the EB West Maintenance & Modernization Site in Bremerton, WA. This is a Planner position in support of the Maintenance and Modernization organization. The successful candidate filling this position will be required to perform and oversee Detail Planning, Production Control Planning, Advanced planning, including material control and warehouse functions. These assignments include, but are not limited to, drawing reviews, MRP file load, product structuring, load or coordination of SWSS and CPJ, work order management, software and hardware expediting in support of work order schedules, change processing, and work order close out. Candidate will be responsible for detailed scheduling using Microsoft Project and ARTEMIS. The candidate will be responsible for assessing individual project's schedule performance, monitor project construction status and perform interim schedule changes necessary to maintain a valid and achievable network schedule. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for warehouse management, and understanding the processes of ITS, shipping, receiving, picking of material, as well as management of file maintenance. The candidate will be required to assist operations management with material coordination, warehouse picks and expediting material to and from off-site buffers. Candidate must have an understanding of new construction work orders and delivered ship work packages (TGI's) and be willing to work within the constructs on memorandums of agreement (MOA's). Candidate should also have an understanding of the EB/DLDR SPARS & VReq/Order Purchase Process. In order to perform these functions, successful candidates will require interfacing with operations, engineering, design, material systems, configuration management, quality, and other support organizations at various levels. The successful candidate filling this position will be called upon to represent planning/material at various construction status, process improvement, and program review meetings. The successful candidate will be expected to be aware of and in compliance with those attributes of safety, quality, cost, schedule, and process improvement. Qualifications Required: High School diploma / GED or equivalent required. College degree desirable. Minimum of 1 year EB project planning and/or warehousing experience. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are required. Preferred: Past experience working in Naval Shipyard environment preferred. Multidiscipline Planning experience is desired. Hazmat training a plus. Must work overtime, as required. Skills Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Cornerstone, ERS/EWP, MRPII, and Microsoft Outlook are necessary to successfully perform this assignment. Travel to other shipyards in the continental United States and the Far East is required. Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift work and emergency overtime may be required. Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher. The candidate must possess strong analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills under minimal supervision.
