Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) in Bremerton, Washington

Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) in the NLSC. Responsibilities You will serve as a CIVPERS Assistant for JCAB providing centralized administrative support to The Office of the Judge Advocate General (OJAG), Naval Legal Service Command (NLSC) and The Office of Special Trial Council (OSTC) worldwide. You will provide assistance to supervisors, managers, and the CNO Human Resources Officer (HRO) regarding the processing of civilian actions. You will assist Administrative Officers and Supervisors with coordination of submittal of Requests for Funding using SharePoint, and Requests for Personnel Action (RPAs) in the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS). You will perform functions, special projects and management analysis associated with the (civilian) management programs for the NLSC organization. You will develop the most efficient and effective automated system approaches for presenting reports and graphics to management. You will analyze organizational structures and work processes for improved operational efficiency and economy for Requests for Personnel Action (RPAs). You will accurately track personnel actions, update action timelines, and retrieve data. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Organizing and developing clear analyses, reports, studies, and other related memoranda effectively using written and oral communication skills; 2) Providing assistance to supervisors, and hiring managers regarding the processing of civilian hiring actions; 3) Maintaining effective interpersonal and inter-organization relationships to serve the welfare of the organization..
