Job Description

We are currently hiring an Assistant Manager, Maintenance in Breinigsville, PA (Full-Time Onsite). As an Assistant Manager, Maintenance, you will be responsible for development and implementation of processes, projects, and training efforts that drive continuous and sustained improvements in Packaging operations. What You'll Brew: Provide urgent, daily support in working towards achieving packaging department goals Work with Packaging Maintenance Team to develop and implement a robust maintenance planning strategy to drive sustained improvement in total wrench time, PM completion, PM Optimization run time work completion, and work order backlog containment Drive OEE Improvement: Focus on enhancing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by leading efforts in reducing the Six Big Losses in manufacturing-breakdowns, setup and adjustments, small stops, reduced speed, startup rejects, and production rejects. Training and Development: Organize and lead training sessions for maintenance and production teams on TPM principles, tools, and techniques. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by empowering team members to take ownership of their equipment and processes, thereby enhancing skill levels and cross-functional collaboration within the department. Utilize TPM Tools for Continuous Improvement: Implement TPM tools such as Kaizen to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the packaging department. Lead Kaizen events to engage team members in identifying inefficiencies and brainstorming solutions, fostering a proactive environment where continuous improvement is a shared responsibility and a regular practice. Enhance Cost-Effectiveness through TPM Practices: Leverage TPM methodologies to improve cost-effectiveness by reducing waste, minimizing equipment failures, and optimizing resource utilization. Implement maintenance strategies that extend equipment life and reduce maintenance costs, ensuring that maintenance budget allocations are used efficiently and effectively. Work with managers and supervisors to assess opportunities related to basic operator maintenance Improve integration of Capital Project Execution into sustainable Maintenance / Reliability programs Develop and optimize process improvements that deliver consistent and repeatable Equipment and Line performance Identify/coach/lead continuous improvement initiatives that engage team members across all levels and functions to achieve targeted performance levels Work with managers and supervisors to understand human factors in reliability and identify immediate and future training needs and develop programs to meet said needs Support long term program of Maintenance to include multi-skilling and autonomous maintenance (C-I-L) Provide shop floor presence support to help drive problem resolution and process improvement resulting in consistently applied best practices Demonstrate an ability to grow into Manager's role. Provide backfill coverage to Maintenance Manager on Brewery Leadership team (as needed) Manages the team assigned to address the maintenance and utility needs of the brewery What Ingredients You'll Bring: Minimum Requirements BA/BS degree in relevant area (production/manufacturing) and/or advanced technical knowledge and experience to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision required 5+ years' of demonstrated leadership experience in production/manufacturing Direct experience leading process improvement of Maintenance and Operations teams (TPM / TPS) PLC / Automation programming (ControlLogix/Wonderware) experience Proven strategic thinker and skilled at solving complex business problems using lean/six sigma methodology Outstanding communicator with strong influence skills & ability to build trusting relationships and interact effectively with all levels the organization Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful and resilient with a "get-it-done, can-do" attitude Demonstrated bility to be successful in a collaborative team environment. Ability to impact and effect positive change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite, Minitab and other statistical software. Knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP/AMMS preferred) Proven analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Certifications (preferred) Must perform the essential functions of the position including, but not limited to, routine presence on brewery floor, for inspection and evaluation of process, systems, and people Ability to flex schedule to reach all shifts and days (as needed) Able to impact and effect positive change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach Preferred Requirements Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification Knowledge of Utilities Process/Systems, Controls and Instrumentation Level: 6 In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe salary range for this role if hired is $91,800 - $135,200 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate.
