Operations Support Specialist
Primary job function
- The Operations Support Specialist is responsible to support the warehouse in projects, ad hoc /urgent requests and backup for warehouse staff functions.
Core job Responsibilities (major accountabilities)
Monitor and adjust planning in case of interruptions and or changing customer needs in cooperation with other departments.
Monitor planning progress and resource planning in conjunction with the warehouse supervisors.
Daily monitoring of planning progress and pro-active communication with Warehouse Coordinators, Planning & Support Specialist and Warehouse Operations Supervisors.
Communicate and follow up with warehouse operations, transport planning, dispatch and customer service to ensure actions are taken in line with agreed planning.
Perform analyses and provide data needed for analyses.
Be the first point of contact for the warehouse during absent of Warehouse Operations Supervisor.
Purchases and coordinates with suppliers to ensure adequate inventory is received and available for all Commodities, such as Packaging – Labels – plastic wrapping.
Overseas proper warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.
Selection, training development, motivation, review and control of warehouse employees to assure continuity of efficient operations in cooperation with Warehouse Operations Supervisor.
Requires a flexible work schedule.
Supervisory/management responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for the warehouse during absent of Warehouse Operations Supervisor.

Relationship with : Various departments within ALOG Breda
Budget responsibility : N/a
Education
- HBO level or a demonstrably equivalent level, obtained through additional training and proven work experience.
(Technical) skills
Strong analytical skills to distinguish main and secondary matters, be pragmatic, focus on main issues and quickly understand inter-relationships.
People management and decision-making skills.
Ability to read, understands, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Ability to read and interpret customer requirements.
Ability to work with various systems to ensure analyses can be performed efficient and effective.
Well experienced in working with Excel.
Well-developed communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in Dutch and English.
Business knowledge & experience
Familiarized with Warehouse Management Systems.
Familiarized with IT systems and automation.
