Description Motion Control Solutions has an exciting and challenging career opportunity for Technical Sales Representative. This position is responsible for growing sales of assigned accounts and prospects, providing application support for aligned opportunities as well as providing gas spring and counterbalance technical support both internally and externally. The Technical Sales Development Representative will reach out to existing customers, targeted prospects, and our sales team to increase customer engagement to drive awareness of our Gas spring devices & MCS products, digital tools and generate new opportunities within the assigned accounts and end markets. Core Responsibilites: Initiate contact with current customers and assigned prospects to generate and qualify opportunities, promote company's products and services, identify & propose solutions that meet customer needs and secure new business. Manage customers' existing business through its life cycle, by gathering forecasts, monitoring and updating pricing and securing purchase orders within lead time. Expand relationships within existing accounts to increase the number of contacts, specifically with engineering roles, to improve the visibility of new projects and partnerships to get engaged early in the product design cycle. Drive awareness of our product portfolio through video meetings, phone calls, Linked-In activities, and emails. Internal and External education on our gas spring & counterbalance product portfolio. Drive sales growth through customer visits and joint calls with MCS sales team providing technical and application support and overall counterbalance expertese. Work closely with our engineering team to provide application engineering support to customers and recommend product solutions that meet application & commercial requirements. Utilize the various digital tools including our online counterbalance configurator tool, Gas Spring Selection Program, SolidWorks EPD Vault, internal application evaluation software, customer facing drawings. Log all activities, opportunities, and quotations in CRM. Performs all duties and tasks as assigned by management. Adherence to the Barnes Code of Business Ethics and Conduct Qualifications: Minimum of 3- 5 years of related experience in sales of technical products in Industrial B2B environment Technical aptitude, ability to read prints and understand technical requirements/specifications. Experience with Salesforce is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, (written, verbal, and presentation) across a variety of channels (e-mail, social media, phone, etc.). Driven, self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency for reaching key deliverables. Ability to understand basic spring terminology and design, drawings, and specifications to effectively convey spring knowledge to customers. Solid verbal/written communication skills Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required. May consider equivalent experience.
