Description Barnes' Motion Control Solutions (MCS) business is seeking a Quality and EHS Manager, in it's Brecksville, OH location, with a proven track record of working as part of a collaborative team. In alignment with our Company values, the Quality and EHS Manager will have a proactive style and approach while cultivating positive working relationships. This role will ensure that the voice of the customer is used to drive Top Line profitable growth while maintaining focus on MCS' short term and long-term strategic goals. This position is responsible for defining and driving the site's enterprise system and quality processes to ensure customer satisfaction and exceeding their expectations. This position is responsible for safety & reporting for Brecksville, Fraser, Puebla, and Monterrey sites. Core Responsibilities: Develop and lead an effective quality organization through selection, training, and motivation of all personnel. Develops sufficient talents to obtain short- and long-range goals by effective direction, counseling, and training according to an overall business plan. Ensure pro-active safety improvements and reporting are completed on time & on budget. Develops and recommends quality system / continuous improvement objectives and develops action plans. Champion continuous improvement program across the SMF NA sites. Work with other staff functions to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications for SMF NA sites. Responsible for certifications, standards, audits, renewals, and corrective action plans. This position assumes the lead role for certification and compliance of IATF. Manages the health, safety and environmental function including but not limited to incident investigations and corrective actions. Executing the EHS initiatives in support of the Barnes initiatives Maintain and implement new systems and procedures to ensure the highest standard of customer expectations as they relate to quality on a global basis. Ensure prompt response to all customers regarding quality issues. Takes appropriate action to assure non-re-occurrence. Understand and ensure customer specific requirements related to your function are met. Work with Motion Control Solutions, Barnes Industrial, & other BGI businesses' BES / quality groups collaboratively through cross business participation and support. Less than 25% of travel to support business needs and activities should be expected in this role. Adherence to the Barnes Code of Business Ethics and Conduct Qualifications: A minimum of 7 (seven) years of professional quality role experience with a minimum of 3 (three) years of management experience. Experience working in an ISO9000, AS9100, TS16949 and/or IATF environment. Experience working with AIAG/PPAP to OEM customers. Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, Formal Continuous improvement / Business Operating Systems Experience in manufacturing and/or metalworking industries preferred. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline required. Prior experience may be considered if degree is non-engineering. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
