Description Barnes Group - MCS has an exciting and rewarding internship opportunity at our location in Brecksville, OH. As an Engineering Intern, you will gain real-world experience working alongside our engineers to complete a wide variety of projects related to Engineer. Our Engineering Interns are in integral part of the Engineering team and are provided with in-depth training and empowered to seek opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement. Core Responsibilities: Assist design, project, and application engineers in the development of engineering projects. Modify engineering drawings and coordinate engineering changes. Assist with project planning and test planning. Write test procedures and supervise the assembly and testing of prototypes. Analyze test results from life cycle testing and write test reports. Perform hands on assembly and installation, as needed. Develop detailed drawings and design documents to support engineering needs. Design, test, record, and analyze specified products to meet various customer performance requirements. Write and present reports on projects as required. Ensure on-going quality of Barnes drawings and CAD database. Interface with multiple disciplines including engineering, quality, purchasing, assembly, and customer service. Ensure compliance processes and procedures. Performs duties as assigned by management. Adherence to the Barnes Group Code of Business Ethics and Conduct Qualifications: Ability to understand written and verbal procedures and instructions, and inquiries from customers. Strong analytical skills. Strong PC aptitude in a Windows environment required; specifically, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point). Ability to learn other software packages and maintain an awareness of technological advancements. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
