Insight Global Industrial Engineer in Brea, California

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join their team in Brea, CA. This individual will contribute to the overall engineering, operations, development, and execution of lean manufacturing processes supporting a large aerospace manufacturing firm. This individual will support the development of lean processes, follow on processes implemented via check ins, performance reviews, and more. They will take measurements, create layout plans, and make recommendations to support a variety of manufacturing infrastructure projects. They will work with a plethora of external vendors to ensure these manufacturing projects are executed, accurate, and effective. This individual will develop a process mapping specific exercises to identify pain points, and improve efficiency in specific areas throughout the factory. Overall, this industrial engineer will be an integral member of the engineering and operations team. You will be supporting a variety of work for a number of aerospace and defense customers throughout Southern California. You will be reporting directly to the Manager of Operations in this role. This is a permanent role, working onsite 5 days/week in Brea, CA.

Skills and Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

 · Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Supply Chain Management, or related field

 · 3+ Years of Experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or with a specific emphasis on aerospace manufacturing

 · Strong experience designing warehouse processes, manufacturing processes, etc is required.

 · Expertise with labor and scheduling productivity and optimization is required.

 · Lean six sigma training and experience required, Black Belt certification is preferred

 · Experience taking detailed measurements, creating layout plans, and making recommendations for manufacturing infrastructure projects.

Expertise working with vendors as the primary point of contact for manufacturing projects such as visual management improvements and racking installation, and optimization. null
