  • Perform mechanical repairs, modifications, and installations.
  • Perform sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance work on plant, lab, office and maintenance equipment.
  • Perform minor building maintenance work with minimum assistance.
  • Complete carpentry, plumbing, welding, painting, and construction projects with assistance only on the more complex problems.Assist Electrician when required.
  • Read and interpret all routine blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Weld most projects without assistance.
  • Check safety equipment per schedule.
  • Assist in cleaning and yard work.
  • Assist with scheduling, processing work requests and purchasing.
  • Assume responsibility for work in absence of supervisor.
  • Assist in training new employees in all phases of work.
  • Confined Space Entry.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment with exposure to extreme temperature variations and excessive noise levels.
  • Ability to stand over for an extended period and move over, under and around production equipment.
  • PLC experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills
