Waste Connections 310T Mechanic in Brantford, Ontario

Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Brantford. Ontario

In this position, you will be working on heavy diesel garbage trucks. We do a lot of hydraulics and electrical work along with preventative maintenance and minor engine repair. Much of our fleet is still under warranty!

We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.

Current wage is $45/hr plus $1.00/hr shift premium for the afternoons shift.

The shift we are hiring is an afternoon shift which is 3pm - 11 pm Monday - Friday

Overtime available if desired.

We offer a competitive wage package with, quarterly safety bonuses, shift premiums and OT available.

Qualifications:

Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or equivalent, strong apprentices will be considered.

3-4 years of experience in truck and trailer repairs

Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests

Experience with drivability, hydraulics, engines
