Description:

The Assistant Supervisor, Packaging is responsible for safety, quality, efficiency and productivity of packaging. Assistant Supervisor oversees and manages the daily operation of all packaging operators. Perform administrative tasks under the guidance of the supervisor, such as documenting procedures and creating guidelines. Must be able to communicate well with others, have a teamwork focus, possess leadership skills and be willing to work overtime hours as required.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists Packaging Supervisor in observing daily shift operations and reports any new developments or concerns as well as oversees packaging to identify any production or equipment issues

  • Assists in maintaining packaging paperwork for designated shift and enforces company safety policies and procedures

  • Ensure department personnel follow the SOPs during their assigned shift. Mentor the group leaders on continuous

  • Follow production reports and troubleshoot any issues during operation. Offers potential solutions and reports any issues on a daily basis to management.

  • Understand, support and help implement goals and objectives, and on-going improvement plans and activities.

  • Coordinate cross functionally with (Quality Assurance, Warehouse and Engineering) for smooth process of packaging lines.

  • Assist keeping proper records and logs of activities and operating conditions, and down time. (Batch records, daily production reports downtime reports)
