Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.

About the Role

This person is accountable for fabricating spare components and various other Tool and Die components using the CNC / EDM Process. Responsible for building and maintaining tools, dies and fixtures to support a Production Schedule.

Your Responsibilities

• Fabricate punches, dies and other various tool and die components using the CNC / EDM Process

• Machine components to support CNC / EDM Process using all applicable Toolroom machinery

• Maintain and tracks the critical component inventory within the Wireroom

• Capable of using Toolroom machinery

• Ensure fabricated components are completed in an efficient and prioritized manner

• Design and implements as well as keeps track of tooling related changes and makes necessary changes to the Master Die files

• Create math data for outside services

• Creates drawings for Tool Makers

• Capable of making suggestions for continuous improvements on tooling

• Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner

• Perform basic CNC / EDM equipment maintenance

• Program CMC and Wire EDM machines

• Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customers

• Perform other duties as required.

Who we are looking for

Your preferred qualifications

  • Completion of high school or equivalent.

  • 1 to less than 3 years of work related experience.

  • Minimum 1 year college level CNC programming

  • Minimum 2 years CNC/EDM Machine Operation/Program Experience
